Sly Cooper Movie is a Thing, Scheduled for 2016
Sly Cooper is one of the most recognizable figures amongst furry gamers. I imagine many of you have played at least one Sly Cooper game in your time. The sneaky rodent has been the star of a successful PS2 stealth-platforming series, which recently had a fourth entry in the PS3/Vita game Thieves in Time.
Now, it has been announced that there will be a movie, slated for 2016, starring the cunning, devious, thievius raccoonus. From the plot synopsizes, it looks like the movie will be a re-telling of the story of the first game, much like the coming Ratchet and Clank movie is supposed to be. The film will be developed by Studio Blockade Entertainment with the aid of Rainmaker Entertainment. Kevin Munroe will be both directing the feature and writing it's screenplay.
An official Facebook page has even been set-up already for those interested in the movie.
I'll be interested in seeing how this plays out. My only complaint with the movie so far are the designs for the characters. And by that, I really mean the design for Murray. Sly and Bentley's designs look fine to me, but Murray is another story entirely. Fortunately, they have two years to make changes before the film comes out. Are any of you guys excited for this? Let us know in the comments below.
UPDATE: There is also a trailer out now. Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFNJW8AoYSs

The Wolf Among Us Episode 2 emerging in February
Telltale Games is finally releasing Episode 2 in their "The Wolf Among Us" episodic series in the first week of February. The series follows Bigby Wolf as he trys to figure out why fables are being murdered in Fabletown. The story follows characters and events in the Fables universe, which is a graphic novel series.
The first episode came out way back in October, and Telltale Games has started releasing The Walking Dead Season 2 episodes since then as well, so they have a lot on their plates! I did a playthrough live of the first episode of The Wolf Among Us Episode 1, which you can watch here.
I'll definitely be broadcasting this second episode, "Smoke and Mirrors", when it becomes available.
You can purchase the game on Steam, Xbox Live, PSN, and iOS.
Metal Gear Rising PC Problems & Fixes
Sadly for PC users like myself, we tend to get a lot of port-jobs that are pretty poorly done, lacking options and optimization. Metal Gear Rising Revengeance is one of those cases, though luckily there are many users out there who refuse to just let it go without trying to fix what they can.
That said, here's some common problems that currently exist within the game and a few fixes people happened to find.
1. You can't play the game offline/ The game is always online.
This is actually an unintentional bug and Konami has already said they're working to fix it.
2. The game crashes in fullscreen.
Supposedly this happens most often with users playing on a TV rather than a monitor, and so far Konami's only advice is don't play it on a TV if possible. Hopefully they'll actually fix in the future.
If you're on a monitor and this still happens to you, try this application for forcing borderless window mode and see if it helps.
If the game doesn't run any higher than 24FPS then try using the borderless window app linked above and make sure you're running it at your monitor's native resolution as that can cause problems too.
3. The game won't save.
This one happened to me personally, and the I found a fix that worked for me (and many others). On windows 7 or 8, and probably any other version, go into the games files and change the .exe to run as administrator. For whatever reason that seemed to fix it for me.
4. Bonus easter egg.
This one is just a fun little thing Konami included for the PC version of the game that unlocks everything (VR missions, character DLC, codecs, etc.)
Just put in the Konami code when it says "press start". If Raiden says the title of the game Resident Evil style you did it right.
Using the Xbox 360 Controller/Emulator: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start
Using the keyboard (don't if you can help it): Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Action, Jump
If there's another problem you've encounted and found a fix for please do post it in the comments so we can help everyone to actually play this game without issue.
King Dedede Rejoins the Brawl!
A new update to the official Super Smash Bros. website has revealed that King Dedede will make a return appearance in Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS. He has been given his own character page with 10 screenshots featuring him, 9 from Wii U and one from 3DS.
Admittedly I really didn't think Dedede would be one of the returning characters but I suppose he'll be a good alternative for people who like playing as heavier characters but don't like the slow movement of Bowser or Ganondorf [Ganondorf yet to be confirmed]. I do hope though that his sucking move is given a little more usefulness, maybe let him chew or something to do a little damage rather than just hold and throw people.
So are you happy to see King Dedede return to Smash Bros? Who is your favourite so far, or have they yet to be announced? Let us know, join the discussion below!
Sabrewulf Free on Killer Instinct...For Now
Have an Xbox One? Haven't plopped down your money for Sabrewulf, Killer Instinct's furriest character, yet? Well you're in luck! He's the free character in this round's rotation. Every few weeks or so, KI will have a new character shuffled out for people to try out. The previous one available was Jago, which launched with the Xbox One back in November.
Sabrewulf comes with the 675MB update, which provides some much needed patches to the game, which can be checked out here.
Acharky Plays Ninja Blade: Part 1
It's the start of a brand new Let's Play series from yours truly! In this series I take on a lesser known "Ninja Gaiden" clone game called "Ninja Blade". Yeah it seems they could only be bothered to change one word in the title. In any case, watch and be amused as I take you through this character action game!
