Greetings! Quentin 'Cubist' Long here to announce the latest issue of TSAT, that being #46. This time around, we've got an unusually high quantity of Things Of Interest To Furries...

Tue 23 May 2006 - 16:09

Greetings from Quentin 'Cubist' Long!

I just checked the 2006 Recommended Anthropomorphics list and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that ANTHRO is now up there *in triplicate*!

In the FANZINE category: ANTHRO itself.
And twice in the SHORT FICTION category: HELPING HANDS, by Equestrian Horse Wrangler, from ANTHRO #5, and FULL IMMERSION, by Phil Geusz, from ANTHRO #4.

Whoever made these nominations to the RAL, thank you!

Quentin 'Cubist' Long here with some late-breaking news: ANTHRO #5 (the May/June issue) is online! My apologies for the delay; I had to deal with some non-technical difficulties, sigh. As per usual, I hope you'll check out ANTHRO's "Support" section. No matter whether you subscribe, donate, buy a T-shirt or poster from ANTHRO, or click on through to Amazon.com for a darn fine furry novel, whatever money you give to ANTHRO means I'll be able to pay ANTHRO's contributing artists and writers.

Quentin 'Cubist' Long here with good (and, hopefully, expected) news: ANTHRO #4 (the March/April issue) is online -- no thanks to the dod-rotted weather we're having these days! The cover by Holly Ann depicts a sentiment that we're sure will bring a smile to quite a few people's faces...

Quentin Long here. I'm not just editor and webmaster of the netzine ANTHRO; I've also got a second netzine. It's called TSAT, and while its primary focus is transformations, there's enough overlap between TF and Furry that the zine has nonetheless managed to garner two Ursa Major Award nominations; one in its own right, for Best Zine, and the other, Best Novel, for Raven Blackmane's ECCE FEMINA (which appeared in TSAT #25).
Anyway, a new issue of TSAT (#44) is uploaded for your reading pleasure. The bits of greatest interest to furries are likely to be the latest installment of serials THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL, a TBP mega-story involving direct conflict between SCABs and bigoted norms; another TBP serial, RUNNING WILD, in which a near-insane cheetahmorph is finally getting the help he needs -- if he can survive the experience; and THE RIGHTS OF THE TRANSFORMED, a "point-counterpoint" examination of how US law might regard non-human sentient creatures.

Share and enjoy!

Quentin 'Cubist' Long here, bringing you glad tidings with which to start the new year off right: ANTHRO #3 is online! The first thing you'll see is the cover by Opal Weasel -- and a fine cover it is, too, depicting a sophisticated wolf-about-town.

TSAT #43, the seventh anniversary issue, is online for your reading pleasure. Furdom at large is likely to be most interested in this issue's TBP offerings, as well as the winning entries in Jaggers Pawtucket's RUET Writing Contest.

Quentin 'Cubist' Long here, announcing that the covers of the first two issues of Anthro are available as posters. Want to put Leomorphic Da Vinci (the cover of #1) or Straightaway! (the cover of #2) up on your wall? Now you can!

Quentin 'Cubist' Long here, letting you know that ANTHRO #2 is online for your reading pleasure -- in more ways than one! We've chosen a select variety of furry novels that you can buy through Amazon.com, and if you *do* that, ANTHRO will recieve a percentage of the purchase price. We get a bit of cash, and you get a good reading experience. Is that a win-win situation, or what? If this appeals to you, click on SUPPORT in the navigation menu, then on the "buy a book" link. If it doesn't appeal to you, just keep in mind that any money we get from this will go to ANTHRO's contributing artists and writers.
Speaking of artists, the first thing you'll see in this issue is a darn fine cover by Lucius Appaloosius! And on the inside, we've got a nicely extensive lineup...

Quentin Long, editor and webmaster of the netzine TSAT, here to announce that TSAT's latest issue, #42, is now available for your browsing pleasure at either its main site or its mirror site! The glitch in its main host which had been preventing me from logging onto said server is solved; the mirror host was never glitched.

Of the zine's contents, furfen will find Dan Eagle's Dreams of Flight, Erastus Centaur's Paint, Bob Stein's Interview, and the fourth installment of Cougar & Cubist's Running Wild, to be of particular interest.
