Dead by Daylight Introduces "Cursed Cats" Collection of Outfits
The team over at Behaviour Interactive brings something a little feline over to their asymetric horror game Dead by Daylight this Halloween season with their "Cursed Cats" Collection of outfits for The Hillbilly, The Clown, The Blight, and The Trickster. There's also a set of clothing items featuring dogs and cats for Jake Park, Haddie Kaur, Vittorio Toscano, Jonah Vasquez, Yun-Jin Lee, and Kate Denson.
“The latest additions to our Collection featuring some of our favourite animal friends!” says Kirby Taylor, Dead by Daylight’s Live Operations Specialist. “These designs are always enjoyable to work on, and we have many meetings admiring the cute patterns for these Cosmetics. And yes -- we still do track whether Cats or Dogs sell better... One of the most requested styles of horror we’ve seen over the past year has been for monster horror, so we cooked up something truly cat-astrophic for you. The team had a lot of fun designing these, especially all the little details on the weapons. If the player reception is positive, we’ve already got a few ideas for more monster horror in the future.”

Welcome to Gaming Furever! Again!
Some of you may remember GF! We first launched in 2011 as a place where furries and anthro video game enthusiasts could come together to discuss current happenings, get the latest gaming news for games featuring furries of all sorts, and to host a database of every type of game featuring animal anthros (or games where you play as an animal.) We grew over the next 10 years to host an incredibly talented group of volunteer staff and writers who streamed a bevy of games, published quality editorials and reviews only found on GF, and facilitated many new friendships for visitors to the site and community.
In the late 2010s, life for me, as the head of the site, was in flux and busier than ever. It became hard to put as much of a focus on GF as it truly deserved, and maintaining the website in a secure manner became too much of a responsibility to keep it going. To top it off, 2020 was what it was for everyone, and it felt like a good time to go on a bit of a hiatus. Important word: hiatus!
Turning the page to 2022, and things started to steady out, in a good way for me IRL. I got a job that has me traveling a lot, but also kept sparking those treasured gaming memories from the times spent with GF members and staff. My wife and I moved to Texas and settled down, and we really bonded over the ability to play games together while apart, and enjoyed discussing and playing those games over voice with friends new and old. Something about those shared experiences over the past two years drove me to start developing Gaming Furever anew.
Now, we’ve arrived here, at a brand new, yet familiar place. We’ve slimmed down what GF was to these four focuses: Furry Game News, Furry Game Archive, Community, and Streaming. We want to be able to stick to weekly schedules that you can come to expect quality content from, while adding in an extra helping of fun on top of a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, we want to be a site with a heart that beats to video gaming and all of its aspects that is accessible to those who consider themselves fully “furry” or those who just want to know what “we” think of games that feature our favorite anthros and animals. We hope to review, stream, and discuss all kinds of games that allow us to discover new ways of portraying furries and anthros and everything in-between! It’s an exciting prospect that we loved delivering on for all those years and can’t wait to do so again.
So! We hope you’ll join us here by registering for an account and getting involved, following us on our social media channels (links at the top and bottom of all pages), and by following our three stream team members for Uncivil Gamers. We will post all of our news articles, weekly furry game archive additions, and upcoming giveaways through streams on our Twitter/X and Facebook pages. If you find a bug or have a concern, please email us at gamingfurever(at)gmail.com
Happy Gaming, and welcome back to Gaming Furever, “A Different Breed of Gamers!”

Kickstarter: Garbage & Glory TTRPG
Fans of raccoons, shiny trash, and grabby paws will surely be interested this upcoming tabletop role-playing game from Wet Ink Games that has already passed its funding goal over on Kickstarter. Check out the details below:
"Garbage & Glory is a tabletop role-playing game about friendship, adventure, and dumpster diving. You play as a raccoon adventurer searching through the alleyways and forgotten lots of human civilization in a constant pursuit for the best trash and the fame it brings. Enter the unseen world of the raccoons and the other animal ruffians who share our urban environment. To human eyes, raccoons are just pawing through the things we want to get rid of. From their point of view, they are discovering the valuable raw materials that make their lives possible and rescuing it from the huge monsters who clearly don't want this great stuff, but paradoxically don't want anyone else to have it either. Join the quest for the greatest Garbage and all the Glory."
We'll keep an eye on the production of this colorful foray into the world of adventuring raccoons.
Dust: An Elysian Tail Review by JoJo
Back in 2009, a man by the name of Dead Dodrill submitted a game to Microsoft's Dream.Build.Play competition. The game won, and was awarded a contract for an Xbox Live Arcade release. Three years later, we finally get our paws on that game; Dust: An Elysian Tail. After spending a good amount of time with the game, I can without a doubt say it was worth the wait. Dust is not only dripping with anthropomorphic influence, it is a charming and enthralling action game that is sure to entertain, furry or not.
Sef's Interview with Ed Annunziata, Game Designer of Ecco the Dolphin
In 1993 Genesis owners were given a surprising game that turned heads of Sega fans and critics. That game was Ecco The Dolphin. The game involved the player controlling Ecco as he transverses the ocean trying to locate clues to his missing pod. The game was beautiful and mesmerizing, and the game had a fantastic soundtrack as well. There was one thing that tripped up gamers was the unforgiving difficulty. However, although the game was hard, players continued to go back to the game. This series has a cult following, and to help commemorate the 20’th anniversary of the game I was able to get an interview with the game designer, Ed Annunziata!
Interview with Armello Director and League of Geeks Founder, Trent Kusters
(Article originally published in 2013) We recently were able to grab an interview with Trent Custers, the Founder, Creative Director, and Game Designer of League of Geeks, a studio designing an upcoming indie title called "Armello", which features an anthropomorphic cast of characters. Check out what he had to say about the work so far on the game, and some special details about the story, characters, and furry influences.
Armello is a swashbuckling adventure that combines RPG elements with the strategic play of card and board games, creating a personal, story-fuelled experience.
You play as a 'Hero' from one of the four animal clans: Rat, Rabbit, Bear or Wolf. Players navigate their fully animated 3D character across the board (procedurally generated from 3D hex tiles) as they quest, scheme, explore, vanquish monsters, perform the Mad King's royal edicts, and face off against other players, with one ultimate end goal in mind—storming the palace and becoming King or Queen of Armello.
Armello is League of Geeks’ attempt to revolutionise digital board and card games, whilst providing players a rich world within which they can craft their very own stories of epic adventure.
Sine Mora Review by Daxel
Shoot 'em ups, or shmups, for short, are one of my favorite classic styles of gaming. The only problem is that recently, they have been of the 'impossible' type. I'll download a demo, play for a few seconds, and explode. Now, I know there's a ton of people that love that difficulty. It's why the play the game. For those of us who don't have the reflexes of a friggin squirrel, I really appreciate it when game makers make modes for the rest of us. This is what Sine Mora does. It manages to create a nice hill to climb as far as being able to enjoy the game and get better, upping the difficulty at your own pace.
(un)Lucky7 Interview with Blaze Sanecki
Recently, I pointed our viewers to an in-production game titled (un)Lucky7. The game is a "horror, sci-fi themed, jRPG-view, story-driven, pixelart puzzle game" that is now running active campaigns on IndieGoGo and Steam Greenlight.
Blaze Sanecki, one of the men behind the Indie game studio Asylum Creatures, who is creating the game, gratefully answered a few questions we had about the upcoming furry-themed title.
JoJo Reviews Bioshock Infinite
It's been a while since I've written a review, but after playing Bioshock Infinite, I was inspired to get back into the spirit. Also, I want to assure you that this review will hold back from revealing any spoilers, so no worries.
Infinite is the third game in the series, but escapes the confines of Rapture and takes flight in the floating city of Columbia. You play the part of Booker DeWitt, who has been mysteriously transported to this seemingly perfect oasis of civilization in search of a girl. However, things are not always as they seem...
I've played through the first two Bioshock games. The first one was revolutionary, and the world of Rapture pulled me in hook, line, and sinker. Bioshock 2, to me, was more of the gameplay-focused title many games become, but finished with a strong second act. To be honest, I was tempted to dislike the new setting in Infinite because I had fallen so in love with Rapture. I managed to hold back the pessimism though, and went into the world of Columbia with an open mind, hoping that Irrational Games would deliver again. Not to spoil anything, but they definitely did.
Developer Interview With John Warren, Founder of Minicore Studios, The Sun At Night
(Originally posted in 2013) Acharky got a chance to sit down with CEO and Founder of Minicore Studios John E. Warren. Minicore is currently working on Laika Believes: The Sun at Night the first installment of a three part series of 2D action games being made for PC, Linux, and Mac OS.
Fire Emblem Heroes: The Year of the Beast
They might say that this is the Year of the Pig, but as far as I’m concerned 2019 will be the Year of the Beast, with the hugely popular mobile title, Fire Emblem: Heroes, finally getting beast units as of earlier this month! The first confirmed units (all from the Radiant Series) will be Tibarn, Leanne, Reyson and Nailah.
These are all great (especially Tibarn), but this got me thinking though … what fluffs, birbs, or dergons did I want to come to the game? After all, if you include the sprinkling of beast units over the more recent titles, there’s a fair few to choose from. So, here you go, my five picks of beasts I want to see in Fire Emblem: Heroes!
The Otterman Empire - Otter This World
Situated in Prestwich, Tri-Heart Interactive is a community driven video game development company that alters the game’s development based on the feedback they receive from the public. Their ambition is to let their fanbase and newcomers to the video game fandom to feel like they are actually included in the aforesaid game’s development. Their current project is a game of our audience's interest called, "The Otterman Empire"
Rip-Roaring Resurrection: Griff the Winged Lion
Kickstarter is a hit and miss, it’s a mixed bag and it’s responsible for successes such as Rad Rodgers, Shovel Knight, Undertale, and Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (in spite of it’s inferior to its predecessor, Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse). There are times when some indie video game developing teams manage to meet the promises which they’ve set out to do in the first place and there are a few disgraceful rotten apples that didn’t bother to deliver the physical or digital backer rewards. I’m looking at all of you, Dante Basco, Jonah Feingold and the movie team behind Bangarang: A Short Film Before Rufio! Aside from Mighty No. 9 and Yooka-Laylee, this monstrosity of a horrendously mediocre film will be forever be named, shamed and frowned upon. If Dante Basco, Jonah Feingold and the film team have the gall to show their dishonourable faces on Kickstarter again in the future, you can bet I won’t be supporting them whatsoever under no circumstances.
As a result, potential and future backers refuse to trust Kickstarter with their hard-earned money. When I take my current frustrating experience as a backer with Bangarang: A Short Film Before Rufio into account, I can’t say I blame them. Therefore, this is why I usually back projects at the last minute, if not never at all and why I’m, admittedly, still sceptical about Griff the Winged Lion due to how slow it’s raking in cash by the dozen at the moment. It depends on what the project is about.
