School artist? Sometimes that's hard
"To top everything off, she also discovered her "costuming passion" - the creation of furry, anthropomorphic animal costumes - due to a classmate who introduced her to the field. Brooklyn began designing and making the costumes last spring and, after attending a convention of "fursuit" devotees while wearing one of her creations, she began selling the costumes for as much as $900 each."

50 years of domesticating foxes for science
"'In 1959, Soviet scientist Dmitri Belyaev set out to breed a tamer fox that would be easier for their handlers in the Russian fur industry to work with. Much to the scientist's shock, changes no one had expected emerged after just 10 generations. The foxes began behaving playfully, were smaller in size, and even changed color - much like dogs.' Belyaev died in 1985, but the experiment continued in his absence, and to this day provides strong evidence to parts of evolutionary theory. The experiment eventually branched out to involve other species as well (rats)."

Anthro figurines
A French figurine company called Papo recently came out with a number of anthro figures. No idea where to buy them - their web site lists international distributors, but not the stores that the distributors supply. (Check your local toy and hobby shops.)
To browse to the toys from the main website, click on "La collection Papo", then on "Fantastiques". There are three pages of thumbnails; the second and third are the most interesting. Includes a centaur, a lion man, as well as an anthro rhino, tiger, crocodile, ram, and a bird man riding a griffin. Dragons, unicorns as well as regu
