Previews for May featured an interview with Stan Sakai; he’s finishing up 47 Ronin soon and looking forward to getting back to Usagi Yojimbo. Before that, though, he mentions that he wants to do a non-canonical mini-series featuring the ronin rabbit versus the Martians from The War of the Worlds. So that’s something to look forward to.

Also, remember Free Comic Book Day is Saturday, May 4.

Gina and her Friends Turn 200

For 22 years, more than 5000 pages, and now 200 issues, Gold Digger has been written, drawn, colored, and lettered by one person: Fred Perry. Now Antarctic Press is celebrating the 200th issue of Gold Digger with the Gold Digger 200 Series Special. “Gina heads off on a dangerous expedition to a lost Mayan temple on Monster Island, and this one time, everyone’s available to come help out. For the first time, Gina embarks on an expedition with an army of experts to assist, and she’s going to need every one of them to help with what she faces!” Among the extras included in this issue is the location of a special web site where the previous 199 issues are available for free. Watch an interview with Fred Perry on YouTube discussing the issue, or you can pre-order it at Things From Another World. Everyone else can look for the issue in late April.

Like last month, this month's best item is a big reprint book from Fantagraphics, this time two years of Pogo. Buy it buy it buy it. The Mickey Mouse hardbacks are impressive too.

The diversity of sources continues. This includes some items from Kids Can Press, a Garfield thing from Papercutz, one from Toon Books, and a couple of Dragon Punchers from Top Shelf that I pass over as overjuvie.

This month makes up for the last two: lots of interesting stuff, and, furry aside, a lot of new publishers showing up. I hope both trends hold up. There are still way too many zombies, though. Like Zombies vs. Cheerleaders #4, 'Easily the greatest 21 letter titled comic in history- that has zombies and cheerleaders!

Another low-furry month, and the best items in my opinion are borderline, the last two in this post. An even later report than usual; sorry. But it may still be of historical value.

Man, there's hardly anything this month. I threw in the latest Girl Genius collection; I'm not sure if there's anything furry in it beside the robot dog, but it's the only thing in this month's post that I've ordered.

Quite a lot of material this month in addition to the usual; in particular, two impressive hardbacks from Fantagraphics and a new volume of Dungeon from NBM. Also the zombie glut is worse than ever, and an unusual number of manga series come to an end. Most were short-lived compared to Sgt. Frog's 21 volumes, but Hikaru no Go (non-anthro) ends at 23.

Free Comic Book Day coming up! Wahoolazooma. Herewith FCBD furriness for which I have no order numbers, though they're presumably in the range JAN110001-JAN110041.

I'm unfamiliar with most of the stuff so I rely on quoting the blurbs more than usual.

I let a Thanksgiving vacation mess up my posting so badly that this is about a month too late to be useful for preordering. However, for historical purposes, here it is. At the very least, this is the month of the first Finder supercollection. Attention must be paid.
