World record meetng of mascots in the UK

It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside to see so many mascots in one place. 55, in fact, making it the largest gathering of its type in the UK ever.They're even going to be noticed in the Guiness Book of World Records, for all you trivia buffs. The event was held as part of a fundraiser for Christie's Hospital and Bolton Hospice.

55 is the RECORD?

I vote for beating the record soundly with Spiked Punch's hammer. (My guess is we could beat that at Anthrocon... this year!)

Record in the UK. I suspect the American record would be larger.

Also noted that they are mascots of schools or sports teams. As such, I doubt if just any group of people dressed in costumes (furry or otherwise) would qualify.
