Flayrah's story ratings now reflected in Google search results
It's a hard life for search engines, and sites like Flayrah with varying page layout don't help. But thanks to a few hours with Google's data highlighter, it'll be easier for one of them to identify who wrote what, what a story is about, and how well it was received.
What does this mean? Well, more comprehensive search results, hopefully – but perhaps the most noticeable change will be the visibility of ratings when those results are displayed:
The rating displayed for users depends on the ratings received on their story submissions. This change will roll out incrementally as Google reindexes the site.
Also, Califur 2014 is hosting the Ursa Major Awards presentation next Saturday at 5PM. Flayrah's up for Best Magazine again for the stories we published in 2013 – join me there to celebrate if we win… and to commiserate if the ponies win Best Website again.

Why should Flayrah's readers commiserate if ponies win best website? Flayrah's in a pony free category, best magazine. Oh, wait, was your "community sense" tingling, Green Reaper?
I'll be honest, after editing what I thought would be a nice review about a Zelda game but which ended up about ponies, I mostly just wanted to see you riled up. ;-)
Also, I have two other websites in for Best Website! And [a][s] is there, too, though I don't know why it's not in with us. Maybe the surveys?
Yeah, [a][s]. Well, probably a good thing it's off in its own category. I would not be happy to lose to that site. Not that we normally would, but some rogue element of our editorial staff got into a rather protracted debate about grammar on which he wasn't even correct. I guess I can always hope the voters don't vote on quality ... ha, ha, I crack myself up sometimes.
Also, duh, I'm like the Hulk. I'm always riled up.

Oh man, I don't know about that.
I always say that the ratings sometimes been based off biased reasoning (E.g. Rating people down, just because they expressed My Little Pony).
Did Google just decided to do this by it's self or is this a new featured within the website?
Account abandoned and probably will make a new anonymous account with no trace of evidence of it being me. I think it's justified.
Comments can often be contentions, but great stories almost always get great ratings (and often lots of them).
We've had ratings for a while, and Google's been looking for them for a while. They needed help putting the two together.
