Mustelidae and lovers of mustelidae rejoice! Instead of severely cutting back the Fish & Wildlife Service's Black-Footed Ferret breeding program, enough public comment was generated that the program has been fully funded for this fiscal year, including a move to Fort Collins, CO. from Casper WY.

Swiss B&D Bear Banned from public diplay.

Remember Chicago's "Cows on Parade" statues? Well, Zurich decided to follow suit, but use bears. Only this particular one, painted up in bondage gear, was deemed to be unsuitable for the place it was going, right next to some of Switzerland's most prominent banks. Full story on Yahoo! News

Today's SinFest by the ever mack-daddy Tatsuya Ishida seems to show that Tasu has done more than huddle over his drawing table, trying to get syndicated. Furs might be interested in the strip, not just for today's but for the recurring appearances of the dog and cat.

Oren the Otter Suspends TCW and T&PJ

A check of the Ottercomics site this morning shows that both The Changing Workplace and Tommy & PJ are showing pages indicating that they have been "cancelled until further notice". While I don't read T&PJ, I do read TCW daily and the storyline lately has had Oren losing his job and his house, so if this is any indication of what's happening in RL it may be a long time before these strips are revived.
