Manawolf's stories

I thought it was a typo when my coworker informed me she had seen an advert claiming former Beatles member Paul McCartney had written something with "Furry" in the title. It seems as though it should say "Urban Fairy Tale," a common enough phrase.

Semantic quibbles regarding the differences and/or overlappings of furries vs fairies aside, it is indeed furry, and "is about two squirrels and a frog, who embark on a mission to set free some animals" (per Bookinformation.co.uk).

More info at the above URL, Billboard.com, or just Google the title.

Stuart Newman and Jeremy Rifkin have submitted a patent to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the technique to produce a "humouse" - a human-mouse hybrid. The technique would involve injecting the embryo of one species with the cells from an embryo of the other species, resulting in a critter with cells from both species spread throughout, working cooperatively.

Don't get too excited, furries - their purpose is not to actually create a humouse, but to force limits on the patenting of human life. I honestly can't say whether this would be a good thing or a bad thing for us - on one hand, if furries are to be created, I wouldn't want them to be created as products or slaves, but without the ability to profit, companies are likely to not expend the resources to create them at all!

An Arizona purebred wolf pack of 14 has lived most of their entire lives in a 24'x12' pen - barely two feet per animal. NAWA has taken legal custody of the pack, but urgently needs financial help to complete the rescue.

The 'blooper' clips of the flash-animated comedy "The God and Devil Show" feature short snippets from the episodes, and are available full-time (whereas the full episodes are posted on a limited basis).

Of interest to furries is the "Sigfried and Roy" blooper, which features a white, leather-clad "sabre-toothed uber tiger morph." Licking his leg/thigh/crotch, no less. Direct link here.
