Anthrocon 2005 is coming!

NEW FOR 2005: The Anthrocon Masquerade is accepting visual media presentations, such as animation and short films!

If you are a costumer or visual artist and would like to participate in the Masquerade, here is what you should do:

1. Visit Anthrocon 2005's homepage for convention details (http://www.anthrocon.org).
2. Review the latest draft of the Anthrocon 2005 Masquerade FAQ and rules on the Anthrocon webpage in the FAQ section or via the autoresponder at [email protected].
3. Contact me at [email protected] to confirm your participation or to get on the informational mailing list.

Once signed up, you will be added to an e-mailing list which will receive information about the Masquerade up through contime, how to prepare for it, and how things will be organized.

If you have any questions about the Anthrocon 2005 Masquerade, you can also send them to [email protected] for a prompt reply.

Anthrocon 2005 is coming! The charity for Anthrocon 2005 is Greater Philadelphia Search & Rescue (GPSAR), a non-profit canine search & rescue unit (http://www.gpsar.org/index1.html). Please join us in welcoming Mr. Peter Laird, co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who will be joining us as guest of honor at Anthrocon 2005.

Also, kindly visit the discussion forums at our web page and help us decide on a possible move to Pittsburgh in 2007. People have been poking at us to get a bigger hotel, and we think we have. We invite you to look over the proposal and then cast your vote on the discussion board.

It's never too early to start looking for the high-quality artwork and stories that have become the hallmark of Anthrocon's annual con book. This year's theme is "Creatures of the Night," those secretive beasts that prowl the darkness of our collective imagination. We are looking for artists of both ink & paint and of the written word to liven up our con book, which was so popular last year that every single person who registered ended up with one!
