The ConFurence Group is planning a Furry Party for Friday Night, August 30th at ConJose's host hotel, the Fairmont Hotel San Jose (170 S. Market Street)

Exact times and the room number will be announced as soon as they are known. Look for fliers at the convention.

It's also possible that ConJose will be enforcing convention memberships on the Party Floors of the hotel... Keep that in mind.

Stalking Cat (his lakota name; really Dennis Avner, aka "Cat man" "Cat" or "Tiger Man") recently sent us a message to let us know that he will be attending CritterConDiego 3.

Stalking Cat has recently appeared on several programs like Ripley's Believe it or Not, the Larry King Show, and several others because he is surgically and cosmetically altering his self into his totem animal. Visit stalkingcat.com for more information and to view pictures of his current state of trans-fur-mation.

The new trailer for the sequel "Stuart Little 2" is now online at www.apple.com/trailers/columbia/stuart_little_2, viewable with Quicktime 5.

Stuart Little 2, opening July 19, will again be directed by Lion King's Director, Rob Minkoff (who for the 3rd year in a row was sorry for not being able to attend ConFurence, this time because of his current work on Stuart Little 2) and will be starring the voices of Michael J. Fox and Nathan Lane in their recurring roles as Stuart and Snowbell.

(Posted from CFStaff forum. Original message by David Bliss on 4/16/2002)

Are you planning to come to ConFurence 2002 armed with a video camera? I am again attempting to coordinate video taping for the official highlights tape.

As I am also running a dealers table there is only so much I can cover myself. Not to mention there will be up to five tracks of programming running at any one time. It would be nice to know that others are covering important events such as Meet the Guests and the Artist Jam.

If you just want to wander around grabbing shots of whatever catches your eye that is fine too. But please give me a chance to copy your tapes either at the con (there will be equipment on site) or afterwards.

As part of our programming for ConFurence 2002, we will be hosting a 'Tribute Room' for folks within and around Furry Fandom who have left us since last year's convention, and for that, we would like to make a request:

If folks who're coming to the convention (or live near it) have material of an interest to the folks we're remembering, we'd like to borrow it for our display.

Do you have books, pictures, tapes, or other materials relating to (in no particular order):

*Chuck Jones
*William Hanna
*Maurice Noble
*Poul Anderson
*Gordon R. Dickson
*Tove Jansson [Creator of the Moomin Trolls]
*Eve Titus [Creator of Basil of Baker Street]

If you do, could we make use of it?
