The webhost that hosts Flayrah.com has recently moved a large amount of users off of the specific server that Flayrah is on. According to the admins, this server is now much faster and more stable. This will hopefully eliminate those mid-day MySQL errors that some of you have seen.
Flayrah.com content is now available in a PDA-friendly format for those of you who like to read the news on your PalmOS, WinCE, or Pocket PC device. You can see the simplified page here. AvantGo users can add Flayrah.com content to their channels by simply clicking this link.
Interestingly enough, both Flint and Kaelan submitted reviews of Fire Bringer by David Clement-Davies on the same day. Rather than choose between them, I've included both reviews below.

Sci Fi Wire is reporting that the Cordwainer Smith Foundation has announced "...the establishment of the Cordwainer Smith Rediscovery Award, an annual literary award for forgotten SF classics, named after the SF writer. The award will honor a science fiction or fantasy writer whose work deserves renewed attention or rediscovery and whose work displays unusual originality and embodies the spirit of Cordwainer Smith's fiction..."
Bronzebear Media Distribution, one of the succesors to the old Mailbox Books (not the 'new' Mailbox Books at this website) is shutting down. The reasons listed are a variety, mostly relating to the proprietor wanting to concentrate on his education, and his annoyance at fandom politics.

I added two book reviews from Jeff Eddy of Sofawolf Press. Check them out. Also, if you're an RPG fan, you really have no excuse not to pick up a copy of World Tree. I'm not an RPG fan, but the book has consumed most of my weekend. We had an interview with the creators not too long ago.
