  • a theme-appropriate gift for lucky attendees
  • discounts available for the hotel restaurant, and the nearby Ster Trek exhibit at TheTech
  • the announcement of a new website, myFurCon (my.furcon.org)
  • information on Internet access
  • the location and schedule of key events, as well as cheap parking
  • a list of events requiring signup
  • a caution against door signs, and warnings for debit card users and laptop owners
  • details of announcements occuring during Furry Night Live.

Flayrah Closing

I'm sorry to announce that as of December 8th, Flayrah will be shutting down.

Over the past few years the site has seen a fall-off in traffic as story submissions and readership have dropped, as people go elsewhere for their Furry related news.

At MFF last weekend, I talked over the situation with Aureth, who first launched the site and still owns the domain, and we agreed that the writing has been on the wall for a while.

So, once the domain expires we will no longer be renewing it, and this site will become unreachable.

To those that have supported and contributed to the site in the past, thank you.

"Patrick "Furp" Reed was a veteran of the Iraq War where he served
with the US Navy. In the course of his duties he made life better for
many a brave Marine. Furp lost his life in a tragic accident outside
of a military base in California when he was struck by another vehicle
while riding his beloved motorcycle. Ironically, the other driver was
himself a Marine. Early reports indicated that the other driver was
intoxicated, although later information suggested that the collision
was simply a tragic accident.
