"Technically perfect" sounds like a subtle diss if they didn't have anything better to say about it; like "technically correct".
I didn't remember Pinocchio from the Shrek movies at all, but it's been at least decade since I saw the first one, so there's that. I like to think it'll get more playtime once it comes out of copyright in 2035, because free content is always appreciated. Perhaps we'll get a preview of that with Mickey Mouse in 2024, though a few possibly silent shorts aren't quite the same as a whole animated film.
From the animation retrospective (slight spoilers) the Del Toro one does look interesting, and we have HD even on basic Netflix now, so I'll try to catch it over the New Year.
