Tlaloc, a Mesoamerican rain god, was a background character in my favorite Mexican comic book of the mid-1960s; "Criollo, El Caballo Invencible". Tlaloc gave Supercharro his super powers when he drank the magic water in a squirt-ring. (Supercharro was basically a Captain Marvel rip-off, but more naïve. He had a neat costume, though, more charro than a superhero's costume, deep blue with a drawing of Tlaloc in gold on his chest. Criollo was his horse; a palomino. Aside from being able to fly, he didn't do anything that a real horse couldn't do,) Chispas, I miss "Criollo, El Caballo Invencible".
