I'm out here in Los Angeles, where three of those aircraft were going. Fortunately I do not know anyone who was on any of them.

I an unrelated fandom of mine, the history of the RMS Titanic, one of the big historians who runs a mailing list that I participate in is (was)one of the chief LAN administrators for the Trade Center.

He was on a buisness trip out here and was staying on the Queen Mary at the time (big ship enthusiast). He is fine - but probably doesn't have a job to go back to. Most of the people he knew are gone, he worked on the 72nd floor of one of the towers. I don't know which one, but doesn't matter now.
