Extinct woodpecker... really is extinct.
Posted by Feren on Wed 12 Jun 2002 - 16:33According to this article at MSNBC.com, researchers who believed they had found evidence that a species of woodpecker previously thought extinct were still present have apparently been led on a wild goose chase. Analysis has proven that the sounds recorded on tape last year were not the sounds of the elusive bird searching for a meal, but were in fact echos of gunshots.

You're An Animal, Viskovitz!
Posted by Fred on Mon 17 Jun 2002 - 16:01Could this translation of an Italian novel be considered an NC-17 or an X-rated version of "Animorphs"? If a Furry fan wrote this it would be cited as evidence of Furry fandom's perverted nature. But publish it as a prestigious $18.00 hardcover and it's Literature.
