TigerTails Radio Season 7 Episode 24
It's a very crowded studio for Episode 24 as the studio is assaulted by guests from far and wide. Making a triumphant return as guest, former host Eeve3 returns for her first show of Season 7, joined by her loving boyfriend Salamander3 (anyone else notice all the 3′s going on?). Not wanting to miss the party, Angel Darksong also makes an appearance, bringing the numbers up 7 people in the studio as semi-regular host Hedgie takes his spot between Xavier and Felis. Chaos ensues. Thankfully, Felis had the piece of mind to bring some of his audio equipment with him (even if he did forget a few bits, making Xavier drive him home to fetch them) so almost everyone could be mic'ed up. Tonight's highlight could be Xavier getting wound up as the Gaming News descends into an argument over advertising... Listen (or watch), and see what you think. TigerTails Radio Season 7 Episode 23
Thanks to the problems with the studio during the show, this week the Podcast is in mono, and the website's a little late as some rewiring has been done. Episode 23 was the episode in which a failed audio cable plagued the show, with TK scrambling to find the fault while Xavier and Felis battled on as if nothing was amiss. The fault, which was finally traced to the cable between the compressor and the main mixing console, has now been rectified so with any luck, things will be back to the normal "stuff only breaking in the first 20 minutes" rule, instead of things being broken throughout the show. The problem did prove to TK, however, that the YouTube feed is in mono and was apparently unaffected, unless people in IRC were lying to make TK feel better. Website's a little late on the update due to having to spend a lot of time yesterday both job hunting and going to Ikea to get a new sofa for the lounge. Still, better late than never. This week's show had things return to normal somewhat, with TK being in control of the sound effects, and Felis almost not having a thing for Done and Dusted until a few moments before the show started. Ever had one of those days where nothing works, no matter how hard you try to fix things? That's what was going on in the moments before the show went to air this week. The problems started with Felis forgetting his microphone and ending up on Xavier's normal mic, before going downhill from there. The end result was Xavier being in control of the jingles and sound effects after some very quick rewiring from TK to get things sorted. Once we'd got to air, the rest of the show went reasonably well. Xavier talked about his illness due to food poisoning during the week, which lead to some TMI moments, and TK offering some useful advice to all those who may suffer from gut problems in the future. The start of the Gaming News was also hijacked by some real world news, as the cast talked about the passing of former British Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher. Starring TK, Xavier, and Felis. TigerTails Gaming plays Street Fighter X Tekken – Part two, really, of the Hedgie vs Angel DarkSong fighting game night. The second and final game of this impromptu mini-series. With the sticks tested, Hedgie fancies a change of game. Does he have a reason for doing this? Or does Angel DarkSong have a few fighting tricks up his sleeve to see off this new form of attack from Hedgie? TK doesn’t care, he’s still there to heckle the players.

It’s time to stop thinking about this site as a collection of static pages, and start updating people on what is going on in the TigerTails Entertainment Network. This is what those young people call progress, isn’t it? I’m not sure if I approve. Still, let’s roll with it and see what happens.

It's April Fools Day, but that means nothing when you've got a studio filled with fools anyway. Much time was spent during this show as the cast took a chunk out of the Gaming News to talk about their favourite April Fools pranks from various websites, including YouTube's Contest Prank™ which saw them holding a 12 hour nominee listing show streamed live over the Internet. Very impressive. People also used the built-in IRC client on this here very website, which meant for the first time, the much-mentioned Robin could take part in the live chat, and berate Xavier over his appalling recollections of the goings-on during Role Play Talk. Chaos and laghter ensue in this episode as the cast of TigerTails Radio spend the first section of the show recanting their long-gone youths and talk about dealing with the PCs of their era -- the humble 486. They then battle through the segments, somehow only over-running by a mere 10 minutes or so. For once, TK has some gaming news, as he talks about Rock Band, and Xavier brings up a discussion topic about sequels and reboots of gaming franchises. To top it all off, Xavier makes a confusing muddle of the RolePlay Talk, which TK summarises in IRC with the sentence "Someone was holding [Eeve3's] character captive and using polyjuice to impersonate [her].". TigerTails Entertainment is changing from a static website to a WordPress site. This is to allow the main site to be more flexible than ever before, with content that is regularly updated – instead of the make-it-and-leave-it format of the site before. However, due to the blogging site Posterous closing, many other TigerTails Entertainment sites and blogs are also having to move – and they need to be all set up before work on the main site can properly continue.

So, instead of this page, why not go and visit a site that’s been finished and is currently up and running – TigerTails Radio, for example. There’s much more to look at there. Promise.

So this is basically an “Under Construction” page, thanks to changes having to be made to a live site – it’s not something that can be developed “behind the scenes”, as it were.

Okay, take two.  It seems learning WordPress is harder than initially thought.  We’ll get there in the end, though.  Promise.

Well, I've just seen some very annoying news.  Our lovely web host Posterous will be closing down at the end of April to concentrate on suckling the lactating tit that is Twitter.  The warning signs were there - it was a big banner saying "We've been bought by Twitter" some months ago.  That, and the CEO of Posterous is now a Twitter Product Manager who obviously can't find the time to keep this product going.  I can speculate lots of between-the-lines reasons why Posterous is closing, but that doesn't help.

What this means is that the TigerTails Radio website will be down at some point in the near future, for an unknown length of time.  Might be a day or so, might be longer.  Depends on how long it takes me to find a replacement service or learn how to use WordPress.

If the site is due to be down during showtime, our social media (Facebook, Google+, and Twitter) pages will have all the connection info, though I'm half tempted to dig the old TTR site out of retirement (it's mothballed at the moment, so I can easily revert to it) while the changes take effect.  We shall see.

I'll post more info as and when I can.

What a week for the gaming industry! It's all about the Playstation 4 and TigerTails Radio is no exception.  Not surprising, considering TK stance on Playstation consoles.  The news about PS4 almost overshadows the new toy in the studio.  Hedgie has purchased a new microphone, which Xavier will be using when the main trio are in the studio.  For the first time, the equipment on the TubeCast looks actually professional, with not a spot of gaffer tape to be seen!

We are freaking heroes.  By that, I mean that TK and Felis are heroes - but only in the sense of the show.  Managing without a Xavier this week, our intrepid pair battled against the forces of Xavier trolling via text messages.  Not only did they manage to waffle on for a whole show, they even managed to cover all of the regular segments and not go off on too many random tangents.  Be impressed.  Starring TK and Felis, with backing music by Sanxion7.
