On September 20th I had the pleasure of sitting down with Koor a mixed race artist I've been following for years. We got to discuss everything from art, to fascist furries, and the dangers of capitalism. I gotta say, the guy knows his stuff! And of course he finally addresses what exactly he holds against FurAffinity and the site's director: Dragoneer.
Thanks for listening out there, everyone!

On September 13th I sat down with my buddy Redbone a Latino living in the Chicago area who's not afraid to speak his mind. We don't waste time talking about the furry fandom and why there's a divide between the BIPOC furs and the white furs.
He's quick to point out the injustices he sees around him and doesn't take BS from anyone. Especially not the president. Throughout the interview he tells me where his seeds of doubt came from and why he went from wanting to be a cop to saying ACAB.

On September 6th I sat down with Verse a black furry, and avid black lives matter activist who has attended several protests. Through our conversation we discuss why the protests are happening, what led him to being radicalized, and how the gap in the furry community can be mended. It's eye opening to see how things like this can affect someone no matter what their background is or the walk of life they took. He protests with a small organization that has managed to gather speakers and amass crowds of people.
He shows those out there that thinks their voice doesn't matter that they can make a change.
We're all tied together in one way or another.

On August 30th I sat down with a buddy of mine Posso - addressed as Storm in the interview - to discuss his roots and passions. Growing up in the South Bronx as half Dominican and half Puerto Rican Posso recounts his experiences growing up in "the hood."
The dog eat dog nature of his surroundings taught him to put a mask on. But as he grew older, he came to terms with who he really was and embraced being part of the LGBT+ community and started a support system by steaming Smash Bros. Ultimate on twitch.
Though he's furry adjacent, he's got more than a few choice words to say about the furry community...

On August 25th I sat down with FuzziMutt! A most peculiar black woman born in Okinawa, Japan and sacrificed to a Shisa. Her fursona, in fact, is a Shisa, and given this is the official 10th episode of the show we've been blessed with her luck!
As a former industry artist, she tells all about her experiences breaking her back in the industry. It's no surprise she went independent after hearing her story. She's also a jack of all trades not limited to just plushies or art.
Needless to say we get into a discussion of how black women are treated in the industry as well. Implicit biases find ways to sneak their way down from systems into our everyday lives.
Tune in to find out if black women can really save The United States of America!

Big thanks to Ren the artist for his contribution! Check him out on Twitter and show him some love.
On August 16th I sat down with Madison Scott-Clary an accomplished author of furry literature. With the recent release of their latest publication, Ally, I wanted to get into the nitty gritty of what motivates her and how the furry fandom drew her in.
She shares her laid back, yet enlightened opinions on white privilege and how it affects her. In addition to describing what it is and how you, as a white person, can grow to accept it and use it as a motivator to be a better person.
As a proud trans woman she's not afraid to be herself. A virtue she attributes greatly to exploring being a "vixen" which would lead her down the path she's on currently.

On August 9th I sat down with Hyena a music loving, truth seeking punk that's tired of the way BIPOC are treated. We discuss coming out, carving your own path in a racist community, advice for young BIPOC furs and of course music.
This episode also marks the debut of the newest addition to Team Rhyner! Ren the artist has decided to devote their pen to the cause for cover art featuring myself with the guest every week! Go show them some love.

Zeon's family has always had issues stemming from their race. Whether it be stilted job opportunities, or health care dilemma's they just can't seem to catch a break. Luckily, I got to talk to them about why this continues to happen in the year 2020.
Unyielding to circumstance Zeon reveals what it means to grow up black in America. The effects it has on mental health, and how religion is seen as their only coping mechanism.

It's not often I get to chat with gun enthusiasts let alone black ones and Crassus doesn't disappoint with his enthusiasm delving into the topic. We share our opinions about the state of the union and why people should be considering suiting up as well as the way news outlets spin a story to make reality fit a false narrative.
Crassus is new to the fandom, and officially joined earlier this year. Even in his short time he's seen casual racism from white furries showing just how prevalent it is. Outside the fandom we share experiences of discrimination on a broad scale.
If you want to listen to BIPOC voices this is the one to listen to! Thanks for listening.
Interview With Gozi

Follow Gozi
Gozi is a golden tiger fairly new to the furry platform, but has already made a name for himself. After calling out bad actors in the community on Twitter he typically tries to do his part in spreading the word on small time creators using the platform he's built for himself, knowing how hard it really is.
Honestly he's someone I've started to personally look to when everyone else seems crazy. Though, I guess everyone's got a little crazy in them, right?
This episode in particular notes a bit of a format change as we pivot into interviews focused on small content creators while retaining that tangy, zesty, dose of reality.
Interview With Integro
A fun episode thanks to my guest and long time friend Integro aka Bushi. Being black and gay growing up in Louisiana isn't easy, but as we weave the conversation from one outrageous situation to the next I come to understand how he came to be the friend I know him as today. We discuss discovering sexuality, how cops are viewed by minorities and what it means to have representation in the furry fandom.

A conversation about the furry documentary "The Fandom" really got the ball rolling down inequality at furcons whether it be within staff or panels on the floor. It was a pleasure to chat with Jason Blade and get his perspective, and personal insight into the funny ways sexuality happens. Okay, most people don't get started from Typhlosion x Tyrannitor smut, but I digress.
There's a lot to learn here in terms of understanding the other side of the tracks.

On June 28th, 2020 I interviewed a "furry model" so to speak. He's got a wardrobe full of endless outfits, the ever mysterious tiger-elk Dyson! This one was a fun ride, and though there were serious moments, it's was still packed full of goofiness. As you'd expect! We talked about everything from goo monsters, to racial injustice, to being the 'favorite sibling. Buckle in for episode #2 of the "What's the Fuzz?!" podcast.

BIPOC FURRY EVENTS
On June 20th, 2020 I interviewed a good friend of mine whom I speak with regularly. It turned out to be one of the deepest, and heart wrenching interviews yet where I found myself learning more about him as the interview went on. It's a great start to the official, "What's the Fuzz?!" podcast!
Since I am mixed, black and Mexican, and John is a black man it didn't take long into trading stories things started to get heavy. I learned things about my friend through this interview that, honestly, I didn't think I'd ever know otherwise. Though it may prove difficult to be a white listener as we share experiences and talk about what the BLM movement means to us, I'm asking you to let things turn over in your mind.
I was asleep for a long time before I woke up.
