Well my NYM today is a short and simple one on, “Buying art”. My theory on the matter is, let’s put down no more than $100 for a nice piece of art that is very well made. Come on- I have art structured around my room with horses and wolves with the penises all over the place. What is with people who spend $500 for a picture that a sketch or $800 for a full piece of art that has already been mass duplicated and this is the original? 

When did the fandom turn into Picasso and Da Vinci art pieces? Just a few days ago I saw a ,”Insert your character here” type of bidding which was well into $500, ARE YOU FOR REAL? If I were to pay that much from an artist I think I would want the whole damn photo done to my liking and be in every color imaginable.

If everyone is so eager to spend money on art (who buys a lot of art) then why do these people have issues spending money to go to a con? Please discuss, I would like to hear thoughts on this matter. Do remember I don’t mind spending money on something that is worth the price tag. But what constitutes that the price is right?

So I came across this pretty well skilled tail and PJ maker called Kigurumi. They seem to make some well-built tails and furry PJs mostly geared to comic people, but as a furry thinks as a furry does, this looks very fandom related. The tails are big and flurry, good for grabbing and putting in your mouth. The PJs are ones I’ve seen others wear before if you’re so inclined on getting one for your night-time slumber parties this is the stop. Check it out HERE.

Look what we got here… another BedFellows video cartoon meant for the adult eyes only.  This episode isn’t so much porn and shit this time around, but its still makes it’s kicks. I think each episode gets better and better. I wish in this episode they would make the main story line stick out more though. I mean, I feel that somethn’ funny should happen more so then he just fainting, but with more knowledge now known from the creators in the past will come more power for the future. I hope to see more and can’t wait!

Almost all the time I post for the funny or the news in the fandom’s entertainment. But, tonight I come to you with deep regret and sympathy for a tragedy that struck Sacramento, NM almost 2 weeks ago.

In the night-time hours Gemily and her boyfriend Harison Long-Randall, known as “Elden” to us in the fandom were walking across the street in their neighborhood with their 4 dogs. When Paul William Walden on heavy drugs flew down the 35MPH street at 80MPH and struck the group, Elden pushed his girlfriend from the speeding car without headlights on, however he suffered serious injuries and all 4 dogs were killed on the scene. Mr. Walden then kept driving on like the scum bag he is and police later caught up with him. Walden had a history (like most do in America) of being in out of court for other issues. This time however Walden will likely be locked  away from a long time (if not for life).  As of July30th we lost Elden from his injuries and he will be simply known as a hero.

So get this guy, completed by Wookiee this little figure has his member put around that fire pole (wish it were mine) in a handcrafted sculpt.  This is his second furry sculpture and he has an amazing talent that’s for sure. There is no real joke to this working, it gave me a hard-on which means you must have an impressive talent. Now, if you want commissions I did ask him about that so look to the post if he response.

So here is the simple deal yo! We need your help in getting PR contacts or CEO contacts from conventions and other popular furry related entertainments spots/websites.  Recently I had to go looking for a convention contact and it was crazy trying to find it. The fandom is not like a major company in most cases and finding media contacts is a bit tricky. So if you know anyone who can help or know of contacts yourself send them up to me at [email protected] , much husky hugs if you can help.

So I bring you your first NewYorker rant and cool looking logo thingy I put up top.  So this post is about furries attitudes.  There are many secluded furries in the fandom. There is even more who will not just interact with others in public situations, but will bring up what we like to call, “Drama”.  Let’s take the post I just saw for Example of an artist well know for his animations. Someone actually went out of their way to contact him and ask for free art, then when he refused the person went off because they didn’t get their way. I mean COME ON how much of a mind frame can you have in a situation like that? Does everything come free in this world? Last I checked I work hard to get good stuff.

When we think of issues we think of our own way not the best way? Let’s take another example when someone does not bring up great conversation pieces, but still in their mind think they are having a GREAT conversation. At the end of everything they think they are your best friend. When in reality the conversation was, “How are you doing?” to which you reply ,”Fine and You?” and they say, “Great” . This is not a conversation if you can not pick up a topic and generally get the other person going on it, yet I see SOOO many furries do it online mostly.Of course this in no normal social experts eyes is an instant friendship conversation piece.

We speak of ages 20 and up that pull these kind of things, which really goes to show MANY furries just can not handle intense situations or calm conversations. Like I said from the start and I am very willing to bet my doggy bowl, almost all the issues that seem, “WOW” are from those who live very secluded lives . Being online around others and chatting on microphone helps, but when the monitor turns off where does that leave the person?

Thru friends of Colson come this shep. whom you may have heard before when he did a short number.  His voice is sharp like a cowboy and IRL he probably could pull off being one. He has been workn’ on a sweet album coming Aug 8th (just 3 days before my birthday….how sweet he thought of me). Okay here we go furries… I watched a long BBF (BigBlueFox) video production which you can see here(user: bbfvideo pass:nomnom). Yes, it will take time to download it but it is worth watching even if you skim over it. Now it’s time to have my say into this thing starting with the good.

First, I am in the first section like 3-5 mins in did you see me acting derp? Shit I’m a dumb ass sometime in suit. Great video was had through the film with nose beeps, camera swallowing and mouse beeps. The camera angles and swift movements were perfect making it enjoyable. There was things in the video I had no idea I saw, including people I met who turned out to be DJs and dancers. So watching this video made me realize damn I miss a lot in furry life.

I have to say the scenes with Sardyuon, Matthew Ebel and the Celtic cats on the roof were ones to watch with entertainment. They had some real pow to and those suiters give amazing talent.  There were other kats …umm….cats … that were acting all derp and asking for fruit loops, which was for lack of a better term “wow furries” .I have to also admit I liked the new “crawl on the floor for the cam” was bad-ass. Those nose raping scenes was to splooge for really. Finally, I liked the camera getting beer’ed on … mostly because I like destruction.

OMG! (who was there with the devil FYI)  I’m going to go into the meehhh parts so shut up.  The camera pole scenes were nice until it got a little mehh, like way too much. There are some parts of the video if you were there you could skip over if you were at the event, that’s a derp! of course ya would. There was also parts that could have been cut down so much more, which areas I will not say for lack of spoilers. I watched over 2 hours and 20mins of video, yes it’s long, but I did see EVERYTHING.

Could the video use a new twist and give a host or some character to focus on? Yes, I think BBF should think about adding some talking and or give a narrative throughout the thing to help those who didn’t understand what was happening a little more insight. Watch some ComicCon videos you’ll see it’s a different layout then fur cons.

In the long run would I show this to someone who didn’t see it? Hell YES, this video showed what it’s like to be at a con and how things really are when you go. Yes, there was flaws but they were small and I think BBF did a great job at showing everyone and everything he could at the con. I still would really like if he laid it out differently and gave us sort of a story or interviews. Let’s see if my advise gets somewhere, otherwise head over and see his stuff! DO NOT forget to watch his past videos to help further your experience in other cons.  Thank you BBF for a great video and yes you pass to the next round in furry fandom, congratulations.

I can’t say that Episode four was my fav. , but episode five has made me giggle. What am I talking about you ask? Well look at the video above and you’ll be watchn’ the 5th episode in the series of “Future Camp” a Camp Feral production. We are only days away from the fun times in the woods of Ontario, Canada with furries. This episode brings you the “Ask Timber” commercial with “Ball” and gets a nice twist at the end in a WTF moment. As always thumbs up these Canadian’s and watch em’ right here!  . Still have no clue what Camp Feral is, well that’s a derp! cause I didn’t tell you so click here!

OMG!!! Foxamoore I *heart symbol I forgot how to make in symbols* you ! With the work this time of Ashley Serena  with  Vocals, karuno on Flute, jariswolf for Character and as always  alectorfencer for that art work cover . This new piece titled “Rite of Vengeance” is one of the best in the series of his work. Full of vocals and such amazing movie like music it made me squirt a little.  So come here and check it out! Okay not sure how a Missouri town decided to place this on their website, but I found it (maybe a slow news day) .  So this quick clip is a Reuters segment on a Mexican furry and no it’s not speedy Gonzales.  The report sort of says things correct, minus she only thinks there is on convention. Did you know running DFB (DailyFurblog) is not just a simply looking at FA all day? Well let me tell you it’s a time taking process in so many ways. I have 3-4 others whom I work with and one includes a “KaneHusky” whom runs lots of tech stuff on the site. I myself scourer the inter-webs for furry news, from Google + to the standard FA site.Now, I do favor FA in terms of quick news, but it tends to center around just the people I watch which can suck and take time. You will never see DFB post about open/ closes commissions or live streams. I made DFB to be unique and show to furries a one stop place for blog postings, not news or media boring-ness. Much like MANY music sites which host blog posts about — music, I try my best to relate to them and their method. DFB keeps a simple page for you to scroll up and down and see info. about what is happening, you can also get convention calendars to the right of the site. Now you might ask yourself, “WHY WOULD I WATCH THIS SITE?” . Let me explain that I post things in my own terms and much like your favorite talk radio station/morning show radio I keep things real and like to spark chatter.  So it comes time now for DFB to get a little more bull penis into it’s ass.

Come Camp Feral 2012 you will see DFB’s first con book ad. I hope this will spark a light for more viewers and hell anyone who can lend a paw to give me info. The more sources I have the better the site gets. What I see for the future is  to take  it to the next level and get some famous furries for interviews. I would also like to possibly, maybe , almost and it may happen a Vblog each week which gives you highlights on the fandom via video format.

Now the new part:  From today on I will not be making post which JUST show information, but rather I am going to give my point of view on them.  Someeeeetimmeesss furries can nasty because they can’t take the criticism, so this why I did not do it in the past. However, I think it’s time for what most of us think in our own heads to come out in writing. I will not be nasty to anyone because, we know most furries do not like it.  So the posts I do make will be tame and try my best not piss off anyone. Check out the newest post and comment if you like or what not.
