Sturgeon nominees and Hall of Fame inductees
Locus Online reported nominees have been announced for the Theordore Sturgeon Memorial Award. The same organization chooses inductees for the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame. This year's inductees are: Alfred Bester, Fritz Leiber, Jack Vance, and Ursula K. Le Guin.

The Sturgeon Award is named for the late, great Theordore Sturgeon and are given to honor the best SF short fiction of the year. Finalists and the winner are chosen through a nomination and balloting process overseen by a panel of two dozen editors and reviews plus one representative of the Sturgeon family. Sturgeon Award winners, Hall of Fame inductees and winners of the John W. Campbell Memorial Award for best novel of the year will be honored July 6 at the University of Kansas.
