More awards announcements
It must be that time of year. Finalists have been announced for the Mythopoeic Awards and Spectrum Awards. And winners were recently presented with the Harvey Awards and the Aurora Awards.

The Mythopoeic Society has announced the finalists for the 2001 Mythopoeic Awards, honoring fantasy works published in 2000. Winners will be announced at Mythcon XXXII, taking place in Berkeley, CA, Aug. 3-6. A full list of finalists can be found here. The Mythopoeic Society is a non-profit international literary and educational organization for the study, discussion, and enjoyment of fantasy and mythic literature.
The Gaylactic Network announced the finalists for its 2001 Spectrum Awards. Winners will be announced at the World Science Fiction Convention in Philadelphia (Millennium Philcon, Aug. 30-Sept. 3). A full list of finalists can be found here. The juried awards honor works in science fiction, fantasy and horror that deal positively with gay characters, themes and issues. Regular awards honor works released in the previous year. The Hall of Fame Award honors works released prior to 1998. The Gaylactic Network is a not-for-profit organization for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered fans of SF.
Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association announced the winners of the 2001 Aurora Awards at V-Con 25 in Vancouver, B.C, May 5. The Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association presents the awards, honoring Canadian SF, in 10 categories. A full list of winners can be found here.
The 2001 Harvey Awards were presented April 27 at the Pittsburgh Comicon. The awards, honoring comic books, are named for Harvey Kurtzman, a cartoonist, writer, editor and co-founder of Mad magazine. A full list of winners can be found here.
